miniSMU App quick-start guide

Connect your device, configure measurements, and perform essential solar cell measurements

Note: The miniSMU MS01 can be powered by a USB port alone, with no additional external power source. However, in this mode, the SMU current is limited to 50 mA. It is recommended to use the included 12 V power adaptor to unlock the SMU's full 180 mA current rating.

Installing the miniSMU Application

PC Requirements

Windows 10 or newer, macOS 12 (Monterey) or newer on Apple Silicon, or a Debian-based Linux distro (Ubuntu 20.04+, amd64, beta)
Intel Core i3 6100 / Apple M1 / equivalent or newer CPU
4GB RAM or greater
At least 200MB of disk storage
Network connection for miniSMU networking capability

Installation Process

Double-click on the miniSMU App setup executable

Installation will begin automatically, indicated by an animated green box. The application will be installed to your User/AppData/Local folder.

Once the installation is complete, the miniSMU application will launch automatically
