Solar Cell I-V Analysis Tool
Paste IV or JV measurements and instantly calculate solar-cell figures of merit including VOC, JSC, fill factor, PCE, and resistance estimates. Automatic column detection means you can drop in data straight from your SMU and fine-tune only when needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
What file formats can I paste into the calculator?
The parser auto-detects comma, tab, semicolon, and whitespace delimited data. You can paste raw output from source-measure units, export CSV files, or upload TSV files directly.
How are Voc, Jsc, fill factor, and PCE calculated?
Voc is interpolated at the zero-current crossing, Jsc at zero volts, and fill factor is Vmpp*Jmpp divided by Voc*Jsc. PCE assumes the irradiance you set (default 100 mW/cm²).
What assumptions are used for series and shunt resistance?
Rs is derived from the slope near Voc and Rsh from the slope near short-circuit. Both rely on the last few data points, so noisy datasets or sparse sampling may reduce accuracy.
Can I download the processed data?
Yes. Use the buttons above the chart to export a PNG of the IV curve or download a CSV with the normalised voltage, current density, and absolute current columns.
