miniSMU source-measure unit

miniSMU MS01 Technical Specifications

Precision source-measure unit for electrical measurements on small electronic devices.

The miniSMU MS01 is a compact, dual-channel source-measure unit designed for precise electrical characterisation and testing. This versatile instrument serves as both a programmable power source and a high-precision measurement tool, ideal for researchers and engineers in labs and R&D environments.

The miniSMU MS01 can source voltage up to ±12V or current up to ±180mA while simultaneously measuring both parameters. It supports 4-quadrant operation and offers five automatically switched current ranges with accuracy down to 10nA. With its small footprint and both USB and WiFi connectivity, the miniSMU MS01 enables complex I-V characterisations and power analysis with flexibility and accuracy.

Key Benefits

Compact and Portable Design

The smallest 2-channel, 4-quadrant SMU you can get. Ideal for moving around the lab, or if you need many miniSMUs to perform bulk simultaneous measurements.

High Precision and Accuracy

Excellent voltage and current precision and accuracy make measurements on small-area devices a breeze.

4-Quadrant Operation

Unlike other SMUs in its class, the miniSMU MS01 can source current as well as voltage. Perfect for use as a precision current source/sink, or LED stability experiments.

USB and WiFi Connectivity

Connect to a local machine, or perform measurements on remote devices on the LAN.

Programmable Voltage and Current Limits

Set your limits once, and let the miniSMU do the rest. It intelligently adjusts voltage when current limits are reached (or current when voltage limits are hit), ensuring your sensitive devices stay protected while measurements continue uninterrupted.
